All studio registration is completed through DanceBug. A registration confirmation is emailed to each studio once registration is complete. Space is limited and studios are accepted on a first come, first served basis.

Yes. Alongside the Competitive and Professional classifications we run Novice and Part-Time classifications, so dancers who have never competed or who train six hours a week or less — compete against dancers at the same stage.

A tentative and final schedule is sent to each studio prior to the competition date. Ten days before the event, each studio also receives an email with all convention and event information. Changes received after the schedule has been sent out will not be reflected in the program.

No. Videotaping and photography are strictly prohibited during the entire event. Official photos of the event are available for purchase on DanceBug.

Observer passes are needed for the convention only, not the competition. They are $30 and available for purchase at the event. All observers must be attending with paid students, and observers do not have access to the Teachers' lounge or reception.

There are no refunds if the attendee cancels. If a dancer is unable to attend, a credit voucher will be issued towards a future NIDC event. If an event is cancelled by NIDC, refunds will be made within 10 days of the event.

Within one week of each event, the judges' critiques are made available to studio directors through DanceBug.
